My easy gluten free granola is not only macro friendly with extra protein per bite – but it’s also the most delicious cereal you will ever eat! Perfect on its own with your choice of milk, on top of a yogurt bowl or smoothie, or by the handful. You need this!

Chocolate protein + sea salt sprinkled on top = the flavor combo of my dreams and something I didn’t realize I was missing in a good granola until I created it. And with 11g protein per serving? Yes please.

You can use honey or maple syrup in this recipe. If I had to recommend one – I’d go with honey! The clusters are always just a little better that way. But you really can’t go wrong!

When it comes to protein powders, I’ve tried a TON. Currently making my way through a bag of the Faster Way organic plant based protein and it is SO good and has a great texture to it. It’s what I used in this recipe! Find it linked in the recipe and notes below.

Confession: I always double the recipe and make a giant batch! I have a cereal monster husband so whenever it’s in the house, it goes FAST. Gotta double if I want some for myself!

This is a great one to eat with milk, and turns any milk into CHOCOLATE MILK once it’s sat for a minute or two. Insanely good! Also incredible on a yogurt bowl or smoothie – my other fav! And I’d be lying if I said I didn’t grab handfuls throughout the day when passing by the pantry!

Cannot wait for y’all to try this! Keep yours stored in an airtight container and ENJOY each sweet, crunchy, chocolatey, sea salty bite! Tag me on Instagram when you make it I love to see! @justjessieb

My easy healthy granola recipe with a chocolatey protein boost!
Prep Time5 minutes
Cook Time20 minutes
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten free rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts I like pecans in this!
  • 1/2 cup chocolate protein powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 egg white
  • 3 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • flakey sea salt for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ingredients until well mixed.
  • Pour the granola mixture out onto the baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Transfer to the oven and bake for 15 minutes, then give it a gentle stir and continue baking for about 5 more minutes or until the granola is lightly browned on top. Place on a cooling rack and sprinkle with flakey sea salt over top.
  • Cool completely without mixing. The granola will harden as it cools and form those yummy clusters!

Notes

Honey or maple syrup work great for this recipe but I do find that honey helps create more sticky clusters which I personally love!
