Crockpot Caramel Apple Squash

- 2 lbs butternut squash cubed
- 1 large apple diced
- 2 tbsp coconut sugar (omit for Whole30)
- 2 tbsp grass-fed butter or coconut oil
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- dash salt
- 1/4 cup raisins
Place all of the ingredients, except for raisins, in your crockpot.
Give it a good stir, and set to cook for 6 hours on low.
At the 5-hour mark, stir in the raisins. This step is optional, but adds another dimension of sweetness and gives the dish its rich, brown color.
Serve warm, topped with chopped pecans if you like 'em!
