Review: "Paleo Pizza Crust" from Julian Bakery


The last time I was back home at my parents' house, rummaging through their pantry, my mom was kind enough to share a package of "Paleo Pizza Crust" that she ordered from Julian Bakery.

I thought this would be a fun product to put to the test, and review for you guys!  It's not the cheapest product, but the ingredients seemed promising, so I decided to give it a shot the next time Dathan & I were having a pizza craving.


Dathan picked up some 365 Organic Pizza Sauce (amazing), Applegate Naturals Uncured Pork Pepperoni, and 365 Organic Shredded Italian Blend Cheese for our toppings-- and we added some fresh chopped garlic on top!

Piña Colada Protein Shake


I whipped up this protein shake for Dathan & I post-workout today, and then ran here to the blog to get it up for you guys.  

Pineapple & coconut is one of my favorite flavor combos out there... especially in the summertime!  But, since fall is about to hit, and "Pumpkin Spice Everything" will rule the world... I figured I'd better hurry!

Give this a try before summer comes to an end.  It's thick, creamy, delicious, & easy!  Enjoy!

DIY: Baby Organizer Gift


Something different for the "just Jessie B blog" today!  I recently went to a baby shower for a brand new mommy-to-be, and wanted to get creative with my gift for her.  So, I went where we all go when in need of inspiration... Pinterest!

I loved this idea that I found from blogger Meredith over at "UnOriginal Mom".  She was once gifted, and then later recreated, this DIY organizer-- perfect for any mom-to-be.  Functional gifts make me happy~ so I decided to make a trip (or two) to Target, and got started on this awesome project!


Classic Baked Chicken


Sometimes I feel like the queen of boring recipes.  But, like this chicken, they all seem to have their place in our meal rotations around here.  

I love taking a simple recipe & perfecting it.  I like it when I feel like a recipe is foolproof-- that way I can make it in a pinch & not think twice (or wonder if it's going to be cooked through or not).

This chicken is juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection.  It's an easy addition to so many meals:  salads, pasta dishes (like my Paleo Chicken Alfredo Pasta), wraps, etc.  Plus, it saves really well-- so is great for lunches throughout the week!

What I Ate: A Healthy Balance Under 1200 Calories!

Hi guys!  
During my recent blogging hiatus, my diet has shifted a little.  I haven't been eating "Perfectly Paleo", and have let a few things slip in here and there.  And, well... to be honest... I'm feeling pretty happy about it!  My diet feels balanced, and I am enjoying some of the foods I've missed.  I've actually lost more than a few pounds over the past month too~ which is just fine with me!

I'm still avoiding soy, gluten, and overall processed foods as much as I can...  Just enjoying things in moderation, and listening to my body regarding how I feel after each meal and over time as well.  Small amounts of dairy & grains here and there haven't been upsetting my system, so I've just sort of "gone with it".


I'm currently trying to shed a few more pounds of fat, while getting back into exercising regularly & building some strength back.  This was a day where I did not work out, so I felt pretty good about the lower calorie count.  Still always trying to keep my protein up, and get in some good carbs.  Check at the bottom of the post for calories & macros for the day!  :)
